Yesterday, the Council on Women and Girls and the Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) held a White House gathering focused on promoting opportunities for women in the business community and business schools.

In accompaniment with the event, the Council of Women and Girls released a fact sheet detailing the obstacles for women in business as well as the strides that have been made to eliminate them.

Furthermore, the fact sheet includes a set of best practices that over 45 business schools have adapted in an effort to help women thrive through business schools and careers, and an Issue Brief from the Council of Economic Advisers which emphasizes the hindrances plaguing women in business and calls for cooperation between schools and communities to help eradicate these difficulties.

NAWRB CEO Desiree Patno was a guest at this historic event. “It was incredible to hear and witness the camaraderie between the deans and business partners present, as well as the encouragement present in the room to continue and strive for a higher level of diversity an inclusion. It was a truly humbling experience,” Patno stated.
