The National Association of Women in Real Estate Businesses (NAWRB) in collaboration with Veterans Preference Inc. presents the Women in Housing Financial Fitness Road Show and Military Women in Business on May 21 in San Diego, California. NAWRB’s road show will provide a specialized hybrid of women in housing and women in government outreach on how to grow their businesses both vertically and horizontally.
The topic of this year’s Women’s History Month is Weaving the Stories of Women’s Lives. As we look back at the changes throughout history, women’s presence in our economy has shifted significantly. Now we have more women in the workforce than ever before, a number that is close to surpassing that of men. Gender equality is not simply about getting a woman a spot at the metaphorical table. Women have made great strides in education, the workforce, and their role in the economy, BUT there still are not enough women in leadership positions.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) hosted a Twitter chat Wednesday afternoon to commemorate Women’s History Month while participants across the nation provided tips to women entrepreneurs interested in starting and growing a business. The hashtag for the chat, #SBAchat, trended throughout the day.
March is Women’s History Month and we have a lot to celebrate for females in the U.S. Taking pride in how far women have come throughout history and spreading awareness of our gender’s accomplishments is an important way to celebrate women. Although we do have a ways to go, it’s important to honor how far we’ve come and the women who brought us here. Check out the following enjoyable ways to celebrate Women’s History Month.
A few organizations are championing for women entrepreneurs, helping to accelerate their careers and provide them with resources for success. One of those organizations is Inforum Center for Leadership (ICL). This organization helps women grow their leadership capabilities and gain executive possibilities. ICL especially helps to support women in STEM companies (science, technology, engineering, and math). They do this through their inGAGE program which has assembled 33 women mentors since its installation. Currently, the mentors have helped grow and/or start 16 companies, creating 43 new jobs. ICL has also raised $10 million in seed money.
