July 18, 2017 – NAWRB is proud to announce that we have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Million Women Mentors (MWM). The signing took place in Costa Mesa, CA during the Power Lunch: Women’s Trade Associations, Collaboration for the Futureat the 2017 4th Annual NAWRB Nexus Conference.

In our second power luncheon at the NAWRB Nexus Conference, Marcia Davies, COO, MBA mPower moderated an inspirational discussion about women’s collaboration with Lynn Bunim, Director, Membership & Special Products, Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP); Lorena Fimbres, VP & Chief Business Development Officer, StemConnector/Million Women Mentors; Valerie Torelli, Torelli Realty, CEO & Board Member, Women’s President Organization (WPO); Desiree Patno, Leadership Advisory Board Enterprising Women & CEO of NAWRB; and Loreen Gilbert, President, WealthWise Financial Services, National Board Member, National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).
In our second session of the day, Toni Moss, CEO of AmeriCatalyst LLC, moderated a discussion on the economic forecast for women in the housing ecosystem with special guests Marcia Davies, COO of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) and Tami Bonnell, CEO of Exit Realty.
Tomorrow, July 21, 2017, the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act will have its seventh anniversary. The Act has not been stranger to controversy, with some arguments claiming the act hinders Americans and others asserting it promotes growth under safe regulatory practices.
Our second session of Day 3 continued with Toni Moss, AmeriCatalyst, LLC CEO and Logan Mohtashami, Senior Lending Manager, AMC Lending Group & Housing Data Analyst, providing economic forecasts and abundant food for thought on the future of homeownership and professional growth in the American economy.
NAWRB wrapped up its last session of the day before the 2017 Roaring Thirty Awards Gala, Women’s Homeownership, Fastest-Growing Segment, by communicating the value of women as a home buying market and providing personal accounts from women who turned their homeownership dreams into reality.
Zeeda Daniele, Community Lending and Strategic Partnerships National Manager, New American Funding, moderated a powerful and engaging session on “Women’s Poverty and the Housing Ecosystem” with special guests Deborah Canady, Enterprise Partnership Manager, EarnUp; Silvia Rathell, CEO, Rathell Enterprises; and Sandra Speed, Regional Diverse Segments Manager, Wells Fargo.
