Diversity and inclusion (D&I) is one of the hottest topics in the housing ecosystem and American workplace as a whole. One of the biggest issues concerning the inclusion of women and minorities is accountability, and the ways in which we can ensure that agencies and companies truly implement D&I into their cultures.

Hillary Clinton: Making History for Women
Having won the Democratic nomination after her victory in the California primaries on Tuesday night, Hillary Clinton is the first woman to represent a major political party in an American presidential race. An incredible achievement for any person, Clinton’s nomination is especially exceptional due to the disparities, prejudices and misguided stereotypes against women.
Strengthening the Women’s Culture
What a profound statement! It is with the same fervor as Madeleine Albright that NAWRB supports other women. Like the first female U.S. Secretary of State, we believe that other women, organizations, companies in the public and private sectors and the government must follow suit. As the Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) movement continues working for equal access to resources, equal representation, equal pay—the list goes on—it is crucial to create unwavering unity among women to advance women’s culture. If this culture is not strengthened, with the many problems burdening women, women will remain too scattered to be truly heard in unison and inspire more commitment from the rest of the country. As we continue working to get this right, there must be adjustments within women’s culture and leadership mindsets to achieve greater growth.
The Women of Los Angeles
United Way of Greater Los Angeles (UWGLA) recently released their 2016 report, The State of Women in Los Angeles County, celebrating the successes of LA’s women while bringing attention to the obstacles the face. UWGLA President and CEO, Elise Buik, affirms in the study’s introduction, “We take for granted that the progress we’ve made is permanent. Each generation has the potential to lose ground, or to continue fighting for all women to have access to the resources and support they need to thrive. The prosperity of our future women leaders depends on our united efforts to address these issues today.”
Staying Healthy as a Busy Professional
Being busy connotes that you don’t have a lot of free time, which is directly related to staying healthy amid the hustle and bustle of your personal and professional life. Having to make quick dietary decisions can often lead to choosing what is easiest and unfortunately, unhealthy foods such as fast food or prepackaged snacks provide a tempting immediacy and convenience.
