DULUTH, Ga., Aug. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — O’Kelley & Sorohan, LLC, a full-service law firm specializing in residential real estate closings, announces that Managing Partner Diedra Sorohan recently received the Disney Award from the National Association of Women in Real Estate Businesses (NAWRB). The Disney is awarded to a woman who is a visionary, according to the NAWRB. “She sees past existing limitations and strives to build a new tomorrow,” the association said.
The NAWRB’s awards recognize outstanding women in the housing economy who are leaders in their field and passionately involved in their communities. The award winners were selected for their professional and personal achievements, as well as their ability to inspire and advocate for other women.
Sorohan was cited for her accomplishments in real estate law and for founding and building a highly successful law firm. Along with Joe O’Kelley, she founded the firm of O’Kelley & Sorohan in 2001 with a focus on real estate closings. The firm has grown from two attorneys and revenues of $2.1 million in 2001 to 36 attorneys, 17 offices and$19.6 million in revenues in 2014. O’Kelley & Sorohan is one of the largest residential real estate law firms in Atlantaand was recently named one of the Fastest Growing Law Firms in Atlanta by the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Book of Lists. Sorohan will be presented with the Disney award at the NAWRB’s national awards program during its annual conference on August 18, 2015 at the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel in Long Beach, California.
