Forbes just released their 2020 list of America’s Best Employers for Diversity, a result of an ongoing partnership with market research firm Statista. This year marks their third annual list after releasing their first list back in 2018. This ranking was compiled by surveying 60,000 American workers at businesses with at least 1,000 employees. MLK Day 2020: National Day of Service

Today Americans observe Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a federal holiday occurring every third Monday in January, in honor of the life and achievements of a leading figure in the Civil Rights Movement almost three decades ago. This marks the 91st anniversary of his birth, which was on January 15th, 1929, as well as the 25th anniversary of the national day of service celebrating the Civil Rights leader’s life and legacy.

Jovita Carranza Sworn in as 26th SBA Administrator for Second Tenure

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that Jovita Carranza has been sworn in as the 26th Administrator of the SBA. This is Administrator Carranza’s second tenure at the SBA as she previously served in the George W. Bush Administration as Deputy Administrator from 2006-2009. The Trump administration nominated Administrator Carranza to lead the SBA while she was serving as the 44th Treasurer of the United States, and she was confirmed by the U.S. Senate in an impressive bipartisan vote of 88-5.
