The 3rd Annual NAWRB Women’s Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Conference concluded last night with our buzzing Roaring Twenty Awards Gala that saw award winners and attendees dancing late into the night to the beautiful tunes from the Sam Sorenson Band with lead singer Brenda Lynne. Coming together with so many women, housing ecosystem professionals and supporters of the women’s movement for equality was as energizing as it was inspiring.
From Toni Moss’s commanding keynote speech detailing her journey as a globalization expert to our powerful NAWRB Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council (NDILC) Luncheon, in which our speakers detailed their stories of success through widespread gender-based barriers, our conference delivered the impact of being a woman in the American workplace.
The synergy within our ballrooms was equaled by the support we received from our counterparts. Several attendees mentioned that just one session was worth the entire price of their ticket, while others couldn’t hold back sharing how impressed they were with the value delivered by our speakers.
From advice on mindset, business planning, workplace politics, and information on business and contracting opportunities, NAWRB delivered concrete information from housing ecosystem experts to help our community build success—as Jay Inouye articulated to our attendees, “Sell to everyone, buy from each other.” Our sessions were filled with powerful explanations, pertinent questions, laughter and above all, collaboration.
During our luncheon Toni Moss told attendees, “You have two choices, you can live dying or you can die living.” Here at NAWRB we are living, and doing everything we can to help increase parity between men and women in the housing ecosystem.
